Had band fitted at 10am. A little twinge now and really thirsty but hospital staff are lovely. My aim is to go from 14.7 to 9st by July 2012. I have never really felt full-and to my brother's amazement I can eat a whole large double decadence pizza and 2 sides myself! Only told him and my other half and best friend about band as feel I'm entitled to a private life. Just hope I can do it.

Any tips would help! Xxx

Welcome crazy cat. You sound very perky for being a few hours post-op! Read up on the posts whilst you are laid up, and get lots of info on how to make the band a success for you. Good luck on your weightloss journey, I look forward to your updates.

hey cat lady, welcome to the site :) there are lots of banders on here who will be only too willing to help you and answer and questions, good luck :) xxx

Thanks so much guys. I'm quite perky actually-dozed on and off for a good 4-5 hours earlier. Need to get to grips with head hunger cos all I think about is food. Sad isn't it. I'll keep everyone posted with my moans! Xx

Heya, I am 3 weeks post up and feel great. Any question just ask. Wish u a speedy recovery xxx

I'm heading back home tomorrow then need to pop into work to do a report briefly on Monday. Will I be ok? Starting work back on Wednesday and Thursday as needs must but off Friday. Nobody at work or home knows.

U ll be tired... are u doing full days on wed and Thursday? I think u will be ok just very tired

Just be careful and Im sure you will be fine x

Welcome to the losers bench!

Full days. No choice. But it's emotional work rather than physical. I'll just keep my fluids up! Thanks for the support guys-means a lot to be here and not feel alone!

Welcome and best of luck with your journey. I think the tiredness is the shocker regardless of which op you have. Iam 6 weeks post bypass and still have days of extreme tiredness. Just take it as easy as you possibly can and listen to your body. As a needs must, go to work, but come home and relax, the daily chores will still be there for when you have the energy. Don't ware yourself out on the little things or the big things will end up suffering overall xxxx

Hi ya I woke up on fri tea time from my band I was just like you, I was so de hydrated has I didn't have my op till 4ish and stopped drinking since 5am, when I got home yesterday I was saying I had no wind well I spoke too soon, I was in agony with my left shoulder and my head was banging, I couldn't go to work like this, but everybody is different, just drink lots of fluids and rest when you can, good luck and keep in touch cause we are the same really x
