Just came home from dolan park was banded yesterday feeling good drinking plenty had a large band filled with 5ml just wondering haven't felt hungry yet is that normal
Congratulations! I was banded there on 31st so I'm only 2 days ahead of you. I couldn't face much either, just drank plenty of hot milk and a few sips of soup really.
About 10mins ago I realised that I was hungry for the first time so have just had a bowl of chicken soup which has hit the spot.
Hope your recovery goes well, will look forward to reading your posts xxx
yes it's completely normal and is likely to be for the first couple of weeks maybe a little more, maybe less. You will have swelling from surgery but you already have 5mls in your band. Take it slowly with your liquids and make sure you stay hydrated even if you don't have anything food liquid wise -
I have the activia yogurts. They have large bits of fruit in but I just dip my spoon in and out so don't get any of the bits. Also I have yoghurt drinks, asdas own brand are nice.
Drinking yoghurts are ideal at this time, muller vitality or actimel are good (they can also be a good thing to have to keep the constipation at bay) they are smooth and the right consistency for so soon post op. Liquids should be the consistency to pass up a straw (although not using a straw as it adds to wind issues) so these type of yoghurts are great, or if you have ones with bits in, blend with a bit of milk to make them thinner
Congrats on your surgery I was banded at The Dolan 3rd October and still doing quite well, due for first fill on the 12th Nov..I too though the male assistant in the Op room was tad daunting
I hope you continue to do well

Hi Minn
I notice you had your surgey on 3 October but have lost 36 lbs which is brilliant. Have you done this through will power alone?
My surgery is on 18th November and I can't think of anything else at the moment!
