my hubbi loves his takeaways and kfc 's etc and i have a feeling he ll still eat them when im around maybe not as much but he wouldnt stop it completly has anyones partner completly stopped eating food you cant have or do they just carry on as normal x

lol my hubby not changed thats why he wants a bypass as well as me, some partners will change some of there habbits as a support thing but its us thats having surgery not them we cant expect them to change because we have too xxx

no i know hun haha he wouldnt give up his subways or currys that easily!! lol as soon as i start seeing weight coming off im like.. hell yeh lol and it doesnt really bother me to much about seeing people with foods i love x

Within 6 months of my band my hubby lost 11lb...jammy git!! He just ate less aswell, I didn't want to turn into a feeder so he got smaller portions aswell, still manly portions just not the mountain he used to get before lol

He also cut down on the take-aways not because he wanted to but he didn't want to be sitting eating one while I wasn't able to, he maybe just would have ate out for lunch at work instead so he wasn't missing out on a few treats

I still treat myself every now again to some soft noodles and curry sauce and a few prawn crackers, I just dont eat a full one to myself anymore  lol

My son and husband joined me on my pre-op 'get fit' plan a year before my op. My husband was always naturally slim, but had started to gain a tummy due to his age and my total lack of portion control.
My son, now nearly 19, was always big - my genes and eating habits.

Now we don't have sweets or biscuits in the house. My husband eats healthily and lost over a stone. My son has lost almost 6 stones and looks fantastic. We're a changed family :)

o wow gill thats a fantastic amount of weight your son has lost.... well done him and to all of you x

in the early days my husband used to get my leftovers, until I learned what size portion I could manage. If we go out for a meal, he still gets 1/2 of mine so I dont have to send it back!

He has in more recent months though been watching what he eats, and has upped his exercise and has lost about a stone. He's doing really well.

The number of takeaways he has is massively reduced as well as I just dont want them/like them any more. He prob has about 2 takeaways a month now, where it would have been 2 or 3 a week when I was pre op.

My husband has virtually stopped all take aways, not because he is been supportive but cos i don't fetch them and he don't drive lol... Seriously though he is trying to lose weight and thus is avoiding high fat take aways. When we fancy a curry i'll just make one, there's usually a healthy alternative... For example Friday when he got in from a mammoth journey i hadn't cooked (i don't when he goes walkabout lol) so i popped down the local chippy and got him some chicken tikka kebab and himself and my daughter had a wrap with that in, Trev had rice with his, my daughter who runs it off got away with a few chips :)

Sorry what i meant to say was you can still have the odd treat but it doesn't need to be completely bad for you!

I often do kids jacket spuds and let them have chicken tikka in it, or let them have chicken nuggets but they have to have them with pasta n sauce! Just use your imagination :)

We eat the same, that's why we are both waiting for WLS! There's a lesson there somewhere! x
