Toninght I was so desperate to increase my intake of Slimfast I think I may have gone too far. While drinking knew I had had enough so went to get some gripe water and immediatley felt as if i was going to be sick. Wasn't but have pain/discomfort in my upper chest area. What have I done?????:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

ur ok hun, sounds like u just put it in quicker than it can pass thro the band hole so its backed up in your chest it will pass thro the band worry not, do not lay down till the feeling has gone or u will be sick x

ur a very new bander so ur insides wiull be very swollen and bruised this is why ur feeling restriction stand up walk and it will pass thro, i dont want you to be vomiting at this early stage. stand up walk and it will drop thro naturally, at this stage sip liquids dont gulp as it cant pass thro very quickly x

Sorry to keep throwing questions at you but should I take sips of a drink to help it move?

its ok try what i said stand upright so the liquid has a path way down, try it, i hope it helps relieve the discomfort x

it will either pass or u might vomit a little if so please dont worry just remember tiny sips ok x

its just the initial op swelling making it hard for liquids to pass hun, thats why it must be tiny sips only x

Think I got a bit carried away with my sips becoming gulps. How do you "Thank" someone on this site?

has the discomfort passed hun?

maybe the slimfast is to thick for now it will take time to pass with being swollen, sounds like wind pains as well, u may be sick but it wont be like being sick as you know it, as it just will come out, try to stay calm x

I'm not a bander (bypasser), but this has been been brilliant advice. More than once its felt like liquid was stuck in my chest (now I know why) - your advice has calmed my fears:)

i will be converted to a bypass soon so i guess the same rules apply with that in a very similar way, just logical stuff its gonna be very strange for me converting over, i will have lotts Q's for u bypassers when im changed over x ;)
