having my staple's taken out

hi all i'm going to get my staple's out (46 of em)tomorrow and i'm just wondering when other byepasser's had there's taken out. i had my op on the 10th of nov so i'm almost at 2 week's post op i'm sure i should have had them out before now thank's

I had my stiches out 13 days after the op. I had 13 stitches so 13 is a lucky number for me!

But bloody hell 46 staples, I take it you were done open then!!

I never had any staples, just dissolving stitches...good luck for the removal you will feel a lot better once thats done...xx

Hi, I had mine out 8 days post op, which was what the surgeon instructed. I was given a letter to take to the nurse along with the clipper thingys they use to remove them with and the date they were to come out was on the front.

On a positive note, it was fine when they came out, a little pinchy but not painful, and I felt much better without them.

is staples 4 open surgery only not key hole ?

hi all it was keyhole but when surgeon got inside to be able to move thing's around he had to make a few more hole's. so at the mo ive got 10 hole's and 46 staple's and i carnt wait to get the staple's out im in more pain with these than i was with the op

hi brunetteandred when i found that one i had to use it i played american football for 10 year's with being a big fella it was a perfect game for me to play i did really enjoy playing but had too give up playing about 8 year's ago

OMG that doesn't sound pleasant at all . I felt more sore after my stitches came out and its only settled now a week later! I still get a lot of twinges from underneath the largest scar.

hi perissa i wish the surgeon had done one long cut now a least it would have been in one place but as it is ive got pain across the whole of my belly and what's happening aswell where the staple's go into the skin it's getting just a bit tender and sore i'm hoping when there out i can put some ointment on them
