Headache

I have had a headache nonstop since op. think this is due to reduced cals. Am I right?

Possibly but after your pre op diet, I wouldn't think so. More likely to be residual anaesthetic in your system ... if it is still there in a few days, check with your team but in the meantime just take you liquid painkillers you should have been discharged with & make sure you are drinking as much as you can. Hope it goes soon, sweetheart :wave_cry::wave_cry: xxx

I agree with Denise. As I had one too the day I got home from hospital x

Ive had a horrid headache since my operation too...feels like a heat one, making me feel queesy :(

Pre op diet was actually around 1200 cals. Not sure I'm getting more than 400 ATM. Had about 7 teaspoons of soup at lunch and knew i had had enough.

Could be a sign of lacking Cals also too. Hard to tell then. Hope it gets better soon :)

Can't really say as I live with headaches 24/7 but I'd try and up your fluid intake as dehydration can cause headaches

It sounds like dehydration to me too ladies. Sip,sip, sip !

have been told my mum in law who's a nurse that its the anaesthetic. So is the sudden and random sleepiness. And the sicky feeling that I thought was wind related. And she also said the wind is definitely time as initially, its not in our bowels or our stomach etc, its behind and around them. eventually, over a few days it passes through the stomach wall and out.

So good news - it will eventually end. Bad news - eventually.

I found the wind can be helped to feel better at times. But defo takes its own sweet time to go.

Mine made my shoulders agony. All through week one I could end up crying. Not good!

Hope your headache and wind do one soon chick xxx

Feeling better after a shower. Does seem that a shower puts me to rights. Have been warned that if I do too much one day, while it won't seem to much I will pay for it the next day.
