Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the forum, I have found so much help , advice and support on here I am sure it will be the same for you.

Hope your time as a pre popper isn't going to last much longer, life on the other side is so worth it

Hello newbie, welcome to our merry band of pre/ post oppers! I look forward to your next post

Hi all, another newbie here. I'm Francesca. I am partway through the process to (hopefully) have a sleeve gastrectomy with Mr Howlader at The Whittington Hospital. I just have the psych evaluation to go. I've had the sleep apnoea test, an echo-cardiogram, a gastroscopy and have started attending the support meetings where I met some fab ladies who understand how I'm feeling completely. Perhaps it takes someone who's walking in similar shoes to really get it. I don't really understand the tier system- if I've seen my consultant once, he's told me a sleeve would be best for me, I've had tests and have been losing weight as directed, what tier is that? Colour me confused! I've been reading lots of posts here and getting inspired, encouraged and reassured in equal measure. Thank you! Toes crossed Mr Howlader says I can have my sleeve.
welcome from a fellow sleever, August 2015 . you won't look back ....

Welcome to the mad house! I'm a relatively new sleever - had mine in October. Best decision I've ever made. I went private so I can't advise about the NHS tier system - all I know is losing weight is brilliant!

Keep us up to date with your progress - and fingers crossed you get your sleeve. :) x

Welcome, I had a bypass however there's loads and loads of info, tips, diaries with highs and lows on here you will also find real support from people who have been through the surgery you are hoping for and answer all your questions however random they are. Use pre op time to get tips and write down all questions you may have for your team. Things I found out after include how I could only sleep on my back till about week 4 due to healing of insides weeks 5-7 I had a pillow supporting my big tummy so I could sleep on the side.
