Hello - I'm new too!

Hi everyone

I have been looking at this site for ages but so far have not posted anything. I must say that I am absolutely overwhelmed and inspired by the support, friendship and success of everyone!

I had my band op in Winchester on the 13th January and so far so good. I'm at the stage where I'm starting to get hungry and am not feeling very full so am looking forward to my first band fill.

I want to lose around 12 stone so have a long way to go - as I say "I will get there one day!"

HEY Nicola, just wanted to say welcome. I only joined recently and the threads and support on here are fantastic. We have a similar amount of weight to lose so good luck to us both. I had the bypass not the band 4 weeks ago.

Good motto by the way.....we will both get there one day.

I do have one question please if you don't mind. On the morning after the op the dietician rang me and said she would call the following week. I've not heard anything! I'm fine but just got the impression they would be a bit more pro-active. Is this usual?

are you a private or a nhs patient ? as some private providors are a little lapse with ringing ppl back
