Hi, I'm new - I am 6 weeks post op gastric band!! And I'm looking for people to talk to as I have pretty much not told anybody! I just thought this would be a good place to start! Here goes

not 100% that i will get it but im doing an 8 week weight management course at the min and awaiting my app for seminar....its the bypass im thinking i want

I didn't know what I wanted, my surgeon told me what was best for me, which I'm quite glad about!! I can see the results already tho it is amazing but blooming hard work ;()

so im probably better letting them decide what is best for me then based what would work better for me....i hope i even get that far lol....im doing everything ive been told to do and ive already lost 9lb in 11 days so when i get to the seminar i will be able to prove this with my card and show ive made the start to changing my life style....ive also stpped smoking to further my chances!

Mornin girls - and also a big:welcome: to you Chelsea.

Now you`ve had your band fitted - your pretty well over the worst as far as post-op pain and food options are concerned.

How are you coping hun?

Everyone has their own reasons for keeping their operations private. I only told close family, also my boss at work (in case I had any problems and needed time off).

I had my gastric band fitted six months ago now, its the best decision I have made in years.

Hope you settle in Chelsea, you`ll make lots of friends on here (you`ve already made one with Wencho).

There is a lot of information under the headings above in the green area....once you have 50 posts it will open other areas for you...


Wencho - just wanted to say Well Done on your weight loss so far.....and excellent progress on the giving up smoking.............you go girl!!!

Thanks everyone, that's very nice of you all!! I noticed Jo that you had it at THG so did I, I had it on the 7th March we just missed each other!! Ha!! I had my first fill on the 14th April, not really that sure I'm doing stuff right, but the weight is coming off so hooray!!
