My name is Dominick. Just had my sleeve on 3rd June. Everything has been great so far. I'm on full liquids, transitioning to softies in the 17th. Looking forward to sharing my experience with everyone as well as hearing from everyone else on their experience.

Congrats on having your surgery and welcome to the forum :)

Hi Dominick, welcome to the forums. You had you're sleeve done exactly one week before me, I hope you're getting on OK with it.

How you finding things so far?

O great, i will follow you closely, am up for an appointment to set up my surgery in the week.
Bit nervous but enough is enough, i wil get rid of this weight this year. You are a month or 2 ahead of me but hopefully we can support each other along the way.

So far so good. I haven't actually weighed myself since last doctors visit. But, I was down almost 30 pounds since my pre-op visit. I'm trying not to be obsessed with the scale but with my health, food quality, and nutritional needs.

I haven't gotten sick at all, not even once, but I do find myself being completely surprised when I'm full. My mind has not yet comprehended that my stomach is satisfied with that little food.

I'm doing good on protein intake, and vitamins, but find I have to keep on myself to drink the water. Going out to eat is a little hard, but I've done it a couple times by just ordering a side item.

I'm going to be brutally honest and say my biggest challenge is with constipation. I've been trying different laxatives, and unfortunately the oral ones don't do a darn thing. I've had to resort to a suppository twice now. Not fun! But, I've begun adding in more fiber so I hope we are nipping this issue soon. I don't want to have to resort to a high colonic! Hahahahahahaha!

My next visit with the surgeon is 15-July so I hope by then she will clear me to head to the gym, and my nutritionist will show me what to add in so I can work on muscle growth.

Thanks for all the help, support, and kind words. I look forward to this journey together.

Really glad to hear how well things are going xx

Keep us posted!

Good luck
