Help: dizziness and constipation during yoghurt diet

So until now I have had no problem at all with my health during my pre-op diet of yoghurt and milk, but today I suddenly feel queasy and dizzy. Also feel slightly constipated, what could this be? Anything I can do?

Are you still drinking plenty of water? That can help with constipation - also try taking something such as dulcoease as that is gentle (I found it more gentle than Senokat) but they can also help - take them and allow them to do their work.

Also, if you're on liquids only, you're taking in reduced calories etc and some people do find a feeling of feeling weaker or a little dizzy. Take it easy, but keep up your fluid intake in the form of water too :)

I am trying to drink 1 1/2 L to 2 L of water a day, guess I need to do more, just still hate the taste of water.

I got headaches non stop for the four days I did milk n yog diet. Glad it wasnt for long tbh. Dont know how id have lasted ten days. Was so tired also. Water helped, I put some nas squash in it as I also hate water xxx

Four days? You are lucky, I have to do four weeks of it. Yes, I will try know added sugar squash. Thanks. Thankfully I have had no headaches, but I do feel more tired than usual.

Yes I got a cancellation so only had to do it tues to sat when I had my op. Two days out now and burping a lot. Xx

Oh gosh I can't wait for my op, three more weeks to go. So glad I managed the first week of pre-op diet.

Well done for first week hon. Sorry daniel I disagree its a common and known problem on the milk diet. Its even warned about in the accompanying paperwork I got given with the diet. Xx

The only way I could drink the amount of water I did (and do) was by using NAS squash, I'm currently on a full protein week to try and shake things up a bit, but Im not allowed to have NAS squash and I struggle with the water it has to be said lol but 1 1/2 to 2 litres of water is a good amount . . .but definitely see about taking something for the constipation, something gentle . . .

No, I am not starving myself. Actually, my stomach is behaving really weirdly, sometimes I have to keep running if you know what I mean, and sometimes it hurts. Really weird, but hey, the second week and I am okay on the whole. The dizziness left yesterday, and I was able to go to town, so that's taken care of. Thanks for all your replies. X

Glad to hear you're doing better . . .dizziness is horrible!

Lol yeah that was always helping me too, now I'm not sure what to do when I'm feeling sick, which is pretty much every morning.

Well sadly now it's the other way, instead of constipation I just had an accident, every morning the yoghurts go right through me. Is that normal? Can I do anything to stop this?

So I have been having the sudden liquid poo things too but I normally fart first then know I need to hold it and go straight to loo. Havent found a solution yet but ive also found the suddon weight loss has made me have a period for first time in year so atleast pad provides a fail safe. Xxx

Same with me re periods. But yes, I wish there was a solution for me. Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one.
