Hi guys & gals

I am really sorry to bug, but I really need your advice and help as I am stressing out, and making myself really upset and convinced that this isn't going to work for me. I don't ever feel full, I have limited my calorie intake to about 500 calories, but I feel that I could just go on eating even though I don't necessarily feel hungry, which I why I needed the surgery in the first place, and although I am only 3 weeks post op, I feel old habits are just on the border, waiting for me to fall back into. I don't know what to do, imam so full of despair at the moment.

The way you're feeling is really quite common. Don't concentrate too much on your cals, and look at good nutritious food. This will work for you - don't despair!!

HI SarahJ2710 sorry can't be much help as I'm a pre-op but hope things are ok and I'm sure people with be able to give you their experiences.

Hi Sarah, I like you havnt had that full feeling yet and so confused about what I was eating. Rang my dietitian today and she told me exactly what to eat eg 1x yoghurt = 2x protein! I was having a yoghurt as a snack and thought that counted as 1xprotein, but she told me that was too much for my pouch :-s any way have to have 6xprotein, 2x vege, 2x fruit then carbs if I can fit them in. 1pt milk and 2ltres of fluid. I hope this makes sense I think I'm babbling, I'm 10 days post op a little behind you but said eat 6 times per day but very little. Hope this helps Hun I also find this stage a little confusing! X

Thanks Diamond, that really does help, I was eating yogurt as a snack too, but again didn't feel full after eating it so thought it was ok. I'd love a dietician, not see one this whole time. I think I have to get my head round eating 6 small meals a day when I've set myself up for 3. I hope I've not damaged my pouch!
Xx
