gripe water is whats given to babies for trapped wind its perfect for banders

Gripe water is commonly given to babies to help them bring up their wind. ;)

Have you tried walking about or maybe gently moving about? Stretch your arms up gently perhaps? That should help with wind dispersal.

Keep us posted. :flowers:

I tell u what, it sounds mad everyone saying about having really bad pains and someone suggesting wind cos I think if I suggested that to non banders ( on the outside world lol ) they`d look at me strange as if to say " wind can`t cause this much pain " lol. ( Cause before the band I`d probably have done the same ) But it actually does, its horrific. I can now sympathise with my baby boy lol!!! ( Hope this post makes sense )

Ah ok, thankyou - now i know! ;)
Hope the pain is starting to feel better dee!

Hi Dee,

Your heart is central, under the breast bone. The misconception that it's on the left is because the aorta (the big artery) goes that way, and you can feel and hear it more on that side. When the heart causes problems you can get pain along there, but generally a bit higher than what you're saying and with other symptoms.

If it's below the boobage it could be wind trapped under your diaphragm, try lots of deep breaths and moving around, lifting your arms up etc.

Nurse Shel (who is only a nurse in the Ann Summers sense)

wind or indigestion can mimmik heart pains, and its most likley wind, wind pains hurt alot and yes thats why babies cry so much, they settle down when the wind is brought up.

Lol! I got a great mucky Ann Summers-related text joke last night. I am so glad I'm not post-op 'else I'd have popped a staple or two :D

you can get away with a lot without popping any staples post op ;)
