Hi there
sorry to hear about this. Im sure the GP will be able to look at it for you tomorrow and give you some advice, sorry not to help you much but didn't want to read and run on you......... good luck......

if the wound is red/angry or seeping liquids then its most likley to be infected, might be just an internal stitch popping through the wound x

Morning all well it looks likes its seeping so yep looks like it might be infected aw gawd another course of antis then lol well I going to be on GP doorstep so that we can head up north soon as we can to start our break, thanks for all the support everyone really appreciate it and today i am smiling as my weight has started to drop again lost 21bs this week phew ;-) Jude xxx

yep the end of mine opened up and was infected and everytime I bent over it leaked. had antibiotics and had to have district nurse out for 4 days to pack it

get them to take a swab as well x

Same thing happened to me - was weeping but not infected - if its only red around the edges dont worry. Get a box of waterproof dressings from Boots - mine is still a bit scabbed 8 weeks post surgery and is fine - nothing to worry about!

Sorry to intrude into this thread, but all these comments are really reassuring as mine is infected, almost finished antibiotics and still weeping - yuk. Seems very common. Doctor said it would drain out at the bottom of wound because of gravity! Also told me to keep it covered. x x

thanks for all the brilliant advice it finally knitted together and although still looks a bit red around the edges it is improving starting to gently rub some bio oil now we are all dry....incredible to think what they have done and having so little externally to show for it amazing!!!
