Im 2 wks post op and getting very bored of yogurt and soup does anyone no of anything else your allowed at thi
s stage ..... many thanks shirl:rolleyes:

crusha milkshake with added marvel for extra protein... its a bit boring this stage... i just brough different flavoured soups so i had a change every meal.... sorry im no help at all xx

I found low fat custard a change from yoghurt, very nice with a bit of stewed apple. Try freezing petis filous or frubes. Makes them more like ice cream.

I have been trying different soups especially the fresh ones from the supermarket which are more flavoursome than the cup a soups.

Morrisons have fresh soups on offer for £1.00 for a large tubful which will easily serve 2 people. I would imagine that you are at the lumpy stage so shouldnt have to whizz them up in the blender.

Have you thought about creme caramel? bit different from the smooth yoghurts.

Thanks for the ideas im definitely gonna try all of them. Im still on smooth food soups with no bits and and yogurt the letter I got from the hospital says to do the smooth diet for four wks then start on mushy/puree food :eek:c

I have just noticed that you have had a bypass where I have had a banding so it would be different.

When we were little my mum used to whisk a jelly which was just at the point of setting with a tin of carnation milk and continue whisking until its all combined. Then put in the fridge to set, this makes a really light mousse.

What bout fruit smoothies or very sloppy readybrek/weetabix or is that classed as puree stage?? x

I have also been having a banana whizzed in a blender with 200mls of milk (rice milk in my case) makes a milkshake which is quite thick and very satisfying.
