Hiya everyone I'm new to this forum. I'm Matthew from Sheffield and I am now doing my weigh ahead group sessions and my bariatric group sessions I'm currently on the 6 months waiting list to get to the bariatric team. So hopefully I can get something done then, undecided of the sleeve or bypass. Nice to meet you all

No not at all! Matthew has had a few problems with people being a tad mean to him and tell him that he won't get surgery or anything like that and arnt overly supportive. I'm a friend of his

Exactly! This is the first place I found and joined when researching WLS and everyone I have spoke too are amazing!! Have made many friends on here

I have spoken to some supportive people, but there are many, many people who just want you to think it will never happen! This place is amazing though

Yes, this place is very supportive! There were one or two people on Facebook who lied about their surgery and a couple of journalists hanging around to. Love it here though x

I agree. This place is so lovely.

It's brilliant to talk to people who really understand everything you've been, and will go through.

I've only been on here about a month, but have already learnt so much. Everyone is great. Xxx

Hey everyone, wow waited for my message to be added to the forum and look at all the lovely welcome messages, feeling very welcomed. Yes not had a lot of support on Facebook pages! Some nasty big headed people on there, also Kirsty is a friend ) she brought me here thanks to her xx
