Hi all going in for bypass in 3 days!!

Just found this site and can I say boy am I glad. It's nice to hear real stories from people that have been through all this......and yes that's the good and the bad. Unfortunately after applying for funding to two different PCT's and being turned down I have had to take out a loan to have my bypass. However I am pleased to announce that d day is only 3 days away. I am soooooooooo impatient now. Anyone else feel like this?

I didnt have time to be impatient as my journey was a quick one. I wasnt really nervous until the couple of days before op and it was not about the op, more the anaesthetic and not waking up, which I think is normal! My op went really well and will be 4 weeks post-op on Friday and have no regrets whatsover! Hope you have as smooth a journey as me. Take care, Ruth x

By the way, just noticed where you live. Check out Peterbrough Guy - aka GARY! He is trying to sort out a support group in your area and he has had a marvellous weight loss journey so far and is still pre-op!

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies. I am getting really nervous now. Is there a minimum weight loss needed to shrink the liver? I'm panicking that I haven't lost enough (only 12 pounds) and I ate carbs today!!!

Thanks everyone for all your support. I've just bought my train ticket.....it's definitely happening now. I am soooooooooo glad that I am at work tomorrow as I'm starting to get really nervous. I can't believe that in 48 hours time I will have had my bypass.
