Hi all i'm in the process of having a bypass, my doc has asked me to loss a stone first which i'm finding very hard....any ideas anyone, as soon as i've lost that stone, they can set a date.
Also anyone from essex that are going through the same i would love to hear from them, so we can compare notes :). xx

Good luck and welcome to the forum. Have you tried slimming world, its easy to follow and good for losing a stone, you never feel hungry (which i hate) so you'll be able to stick with it. If you want to lose it very fast there Lipotrim which is 3 milkshakes in replace of your 3 meals, good luck xxx

Hi Jane Louise
Try the liver shrinking diet which is required for surgery anyway.
You can either drink 4 pts of SS milk per day or 4 slim fasts OR you could try the high protien and veg with NO carbs
I did the later and lost 10 lbs in a week xx

Slimming world will shift a stone no worries and you won't be hungry, it will also be a good way for you to keep the stone off and show commitment to your surgeon xx

Hi and :welcome2: I agree with Julie, slimming world In my opinion is the easiest to stick to as you dont ever have to feel hungry. I lost 91/2stone there some years ago. Shame I couldnt keep it off! Good luck X

Hi Jane,
I am thinking of going to slimming world and I have also been on the toning tables today (just to get my aching bones moving and I feel better just for that). I am currently replacing one meal a day with a slimfast shake (I don't mind some of them!) and always have a good cereal for breakfast... then a sensible main meal at night... so far so good... loads of love to you and good luck xxx

:welcome2:Hi Jane Louise and welcome to the site ,i hope you find it as helpful as i have .Good luck with your wls journey,Marie.

Hi JaneLouise and welcome to WLS.
It's a brilliant site where I'm sure you'l find loads of support, information and a few laughs too! :D

I'd go to slimming world That's where I was most successful and like everyone's saying. wasn't ever really hungry. The trick is to keep going and keep that motivation all the way to surgery and beyond.

Good luck with it

Hi JaneLouise and welcome to this wonderful forum.
Yep slimming world sounds like just the ticket, good old fashioned healthy eating or if you would rather cut out food completely try slimfast. I did that for a few weeks and lost a lot x

Hi Janelouise, I'm new here too and have just started the low calorie liquid diet (4 pints of semi-skimmed milk per day). I've lost 1 stone in a week although it's tough going. Wouldnt recommend it for long though!

hi hun, good luck! i find weight watchers meal a god send as the evening meals are quite low in calouries fat etc so you dont have to think about it all the best x

M&S Count on Us foods are also really nice, and they have a really good choice in their 'Fuller, Longer' meals too.

Am I imagining things, or have I sen somewhere on here that as well as the pre-op 'Milk Diet', there's also a choice to have 4 Slim Fasts a day? Just wondered because I might try that for a week, just to give me a kick-start and up my motivation.

i to think ive seen some of the gils saying about slim fast, maybe ring your team tomorrow?.. as i do know slimfast shakes have a lot of carbs in them so im not tooo sure hun x

thers also a high protein low carb pre-op diet x

I have my first hospital appointment tomorrow, so I guess I'll see what they say.
