hi iam 6 weeks post op with band had 1 fill and still not losing when will i start and lose some weight getting me down what a lot of money 2 not work mandy:confused:

HEY MANDY U HAD A FILL YET ?

Hi mandy

Im a bypasser so i can only tell you what ive seen and read with bands.

It takes a while to get the lvl of fills correct for you before you eat less and start losing.

If you have had a fill and your still eating the same you need to tell the doctor who does the fills for you.

I think too much at too short of time can give you problems . But im sure you will be happy in the end, but i know how you feel im the same . when i want something to happen i want to happen NOW!!!!! :D:D:D

Best of luck

Hi Mandy,

My consultant told me that we should be aiming to loose between 1-2lbs a week after having a band fitted and filled to the correct amount.
My first fill took me to 4.5ml, I lost 4lbs in 3 months, the second fill took me to 8ml and I lost 18lbs in 3 months, but then became sick after everything that I ate. I now have 7.3ml and its great!
I have started eating on the SW plan, as I want to make sure that I can munch on fruit and veg etc. My first week and I have lost 7lbs!

I dont have the band but from what I have read its trial and error to get it right. I am sure you will get sorted eventually and there will be no stopping you like everything it takes time chick..xx

Well done on the weightloss MrsV..xx

Hi Mandy I have had 3 fills and now have 6mls in a 10ml band but I don't seem to be losing either and can eat most things except bread. It is disheartening when you read threads and people are losing loads of weight but I do think it is going to be trial and error until we get the correct fill. Good Luck with it. xx
