I'm Devon (just like the county, they had their reasons), a stay-at-home mom, had RnY gastric bypass with Dr. Patel at King's in London on May 6th.

Hi Grace! I did a consult with Chris Pring, really nice, thoughtful doctor. Ultimately I wanted to do single-incision so went with Dr. Patel and London but Mr. Pring/Chichester was my next option.

Hi Devon.... i had a gastric bypass by the gorgeous Mr Ameet Patel last tuesday... 6 days post op... i have a chance of life now... my weight monday 25th june 2012 was 20 stone 2lbs 6 days later..... 18 stone 6lbs.... not gonna weighin for another week yet but am chuffed to bits, was gonna have the op at Kings... but had a call less then 2 weeks ago giving just a few days notice offering to go to the BMI weymouth in westminster London! fab treatment as it was private, it was done by NHS stayed in for 5 days wasnt well... but not so bad now, I'm in brighton

I'm just up from Brighton, Haywards Heath/Burgess Hill.

I'm finally going in for my post-op, we've had scheduling issues with holidays and such but I'll see Dr. Patel next week. Are you using the London support group at all? I haven't bothered, just chugging along on my own.

Hi Devon, only support group i use part from here is on facebook add me if you like and i'll add you to the group Liesa Saunders there are two of us lol but look for the one with wedding profile pic... my daughter last saturday, so have you had your op yet?? Mr Patel (hes Mr) is amazing... very gentle and kind and thorough to xx

Hi Devon and other Sussex people. I'm from Brighton but currently living in Hailsham, work in Hove. I had my bypass done at St.Richards in Chichester by Guy Slater. Hope you are all doing well x
