Hi turtle35
I had a sleeve a week ago!!! Let's compare notes! How do you feel now?

I have quite a lot of pain every time I drink from stomach bubbling all the way up to chest, have you had that ? X

Hi I had the sleeve last year and am doing just fine, there is always folks around to help and feel free to ask away, you can bet someone has advice for just about everything.

Hi Hun, I am waiting to have my sleeve may 3rd, but would love to see how you get on!
Best of luck x

I'm a week out, I've lost about 8 pounds now, I had out on a stone in hospital believe it of not in water! That has gone plus the 8 pounds, feel so much better today, the pain is really manageable it's the boredom of soup for me and the pain of wind bubbling up from tummy to chest, it's hard to describe but it is quite painful xxx

I am taking my dog out today fir the first time and I am going to make my own soup! Fed up of the tinned rubbish !!!
I'll let you know how it goes
Had a homemade smoothie this morning which was nice x

Wow with the weight-loss! :)
I have never had an op so not looking forward to the pain!!!! :(
Is it harder or easier than you thought?
A x

Truthfully it's harder, the pain is manageable it's the constant wind that's uncomfortable and way more painful than I have it credit for, going yo bed is a pain !! Can't get comfy, I don't like sleeping on my back but side is not an option yet

The biggest thing I dislike is every time I drink I get bubbles of pain up from stomach to chest, that's annoying!
But I'm not taking pain relief it's not that bad xx

Thanks for your replys it's great to feel like I'm not alone.
I did get that bubbly pain but it's got better I find peppermint tea helps with the bubbles xxxxx

Hey, I was sleeved 9weeks ago today! I've lost 40lb post op and feel great! I have my own thread/diary it's called 'Having a sleeve!' And is still in the pre op diary section as I don't know how to move it! Feel free to go read it and go join in.

Well done all on having the op and welcome to the losers bench!

Are you sleeping raised up or flat?? I slept pretty much sat up for 2 weeks before I tried almost flat and then at 3 weeks I could lay on my left side. I sleep on my tummy, so was extremely difficult for me at first!

I found the first 2 days pain was the worst, after that it was a lot easier than I expected! Everyone is different, some have higher pain thresholds than others..

I've been sleeping propped up, just about managed lh side lady night after 8 days! Not bad, pain isn't bad at all, not taking any pain relief at all, it's sore on the right due to removal of stomach I imagine, the part that gets me down is the pain when you get bubbles up your chest from tummy apart from that it's surprisingly pain free!
Even where the cuts are don't hurt do they? The body is amaxibg !!! Xx

Thanks for sharing it is great to read others experiences, I am a roller coaster of emotions at the moment and TOM is not helping! Thank god my hubby is a steady bloke and takes it all in his stride......
