What is stones?? I notice people talk stones is that the same as pounds?

Hi Angilu, Stones is a british imperial measure of weight there are 14lbs to the stone (and 2.2lbs to the kilogram). A lot of people use Kg these days to weigh themselves but to many of us weight still sounds better in the old stones and pounds.
So if like me you are 16stone 10.5lbs in pounds thats 16 x 14 = 224 + 10.5 = a total of 234.5lbs.
