Welcome kitty xx

Hey Kitty! Welcome x You know you are barely out of the recovery period , you have to relax and let your poor body get used to the new plumbing!
You will start to lose more weight soon I'm sure, in the meantime, concentrate on learning your how to use your new pouch and read up on bypassers experiences here. I'm sure that will allay your worries and reassure you that what you are going through is quite normal and to be expected now and again.

Kitty welcome to the site and hope we can help.

What sort of food are you eating, could you give an example of what you would eat in a day.???

Welcome Kitty, I'm pre-op so don't have any advice/help to offer but wish u all the luck..

Take care

Welcome Dear Kitty

I have to say i'm about 3 1/2 months out and in have had about 6 weeks of not losing weight (not all on the run but stalls anyway - one week i actually gained a lb). You need to realise that your body is still probably retaining gas and anaesthetic and are very swollen... It's so hard to focus on the scales and my first advice would be to put them away and only weigh on them once a month! Saying that i haven't weighed for 2 weeks and so want to jump on and see if the arrow has moved...

Make sure you are drinking plenty, you cannot spend too much of your day drinking. If you're getting fed up of drinks get some s/f ice lollies to suck on...

Please don't beat yourself up about not losing, your body is probably holding onto your reserves as it thinks you are trying to starve it....

Don't be a stranger, although you are new you are already one of our friends xx

Hi Kitty, :welcome2:to the site. Everyone here is lovely and whilst I can't offer any advice (I'm pre-op) I know that lots of the other lovelies here will help you. xxx :)

Hello and welcome.
I've had several stalls and weeks when i didn't lose much and this is part of the wls process, so be prepared for this to happen sometimes.
For me it can be because i'm not drinking enough, not getting enough protein, my hormonal cycle or sometimes for no reason i can discern ! (and more recently because i've been making poor food choices)
Just try and relax, its early days and your body is trying to adjust to a massive trauma. It will soon sort itself out and you will start losing again x x

Thankyou all very much for your kind words and good advice xx
Im trying very hard to stay positive and im willing myself to be logical and tell myself i cant fail, its just so frustrating as i lost 30lbs pre op and have only lost 10lbs post op!!!! GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!
Thankyou all for your support x ;)

Hi Kitty. Welcome to the forum.
I'm 7 weeks post-op today and have been losing weight steadily though not so fast as I would like.
I do think the trick is to focus on loads of protein and have 6 small meals per day, + plenty to drink in terms of water, NAS squash etc.

Have you considered keeping a food diary? I did one immediately post-op and I think I'm going to go back to that for a while.
I'm looking forward to knowing you more and sharing the journey too.
Charis xx
