Hi finally got round to introducing myself av been reading posts on this site for a few months but not got round to posting, But it has been a great help so far.


My names Louise and I had my Bypass on the 15th November (5 wks ago) in Sunderland, all went well and av had no pain or problems at all, just takes some getting used to only managing to eat small amounts my head still wants large portions am sure a will get there soon enough.

Welcome Louise, Honey Congratulations on your op & I am sure you will be fine once you get over your head hunger. Strange how one organ controls your whole body (I am talking about your brain) When I get hungry & always think I can eat more than I actually can, but that is good & what we hoped for. xxx

Eeeeehh... ur op date and Consultant are the same as mine ... I was first on the list on the Tuesday, but was in a side room so didn't get to see anyone else. Welcome to the site x x

aw Anna there was only me n 1 other having weight loss ops others were for gallstones on the ward, so did everything go well for u? have u had any appointments thru from sunderland I have a had one for july 2012 but thats it ??? xx

Hi Louise, My op was 3rd Nov and my experiences are exactly the same as yours except that I seem to be so slow to lose the pounds. Good luck.

hi and welcome im also a srh patient, congratulations on your surgery, i also run the patient support groups ta srh, our next meeting is Jan 26th in the Education Centre 6-8pm feel free to come along and meet other pre and post op patients, also add me on facebook via the F icon to the left of my posts if you wish too.

Lucky you!!! i thought iwas starting soft foods today same as you... and got told...no week 5 love!!... im so looking forward to having some mash cheese and baked beans lol... have you tried that yet?

Hi Rayne, I have to confess to already having had cheesy mash and low salt & low sugar beans during the puree stage, mashed up with gravy to thin out a little. was lush! x

hiya no probs ask away if I can help with anything. I had seminar jan 10 and op nov 11, but times r getting reduced i think some only wait bout 14 mths if weight target is met. n I had 1 app cancelled by the hospital n had to wait bout 2 mths for a new one xx
