Just to say hi! ive got my first consultation with thg on sunday to get banded and would appreciate any advice!! :)

Thank you! Have been feeling quite nervous about it all but after reading a few posts on here am feeling much better already! Who is banding you? my consultation is with mr hewin.x

I'm being banded by Mr Super. Whoever your consultation is with does your surgery I think. I haven't seen much about Mr Hewin but I'm sure others on here will know about him. Every question you could possibly have will get an answer on here, though sometimes there seem to be several answers for the same question so read around. Whereabouts are you?
 
Thank you..i'll read around! I live in cornwall so having my consultation over the phone.. do you know if they only do the banding in dolan park?

Hi Myz24,
I was banded by Mr Hewin at Dolan Park 17/8/12. All went well, had a 10ml band put in with 3ml put in during surgery. I've just had my first band fill 5 weeks after surgery and all went well, the nurse told me there was actually 3.7ml in my band so she put in 1.5ml.
Any questions you may have, feel free to ask, i'm not shy!

Me and my mum have consultations on sunday both with him.. how have you found everything so far? was it what you'd expected! I'm dead set on having it done but am quite anxious as i've never had surgery before! So any advice would be great really! Thank you xx
 
Hi Myz,
everything has gone great so far! I've done everything i've been told to do. I was very nervous too as i'd never had surgery before but i found everyone at Dolan Park really lovely! The rooms are nice with Freeview tv and en-suite, my scars are healing well and i'm losing weight. I could eat huge portions before, and its a nice feeling to feel full after little portions.
Feel free to ask anything, I know its nice to speak to someone who's had the same surgeon!

Had our consultations today with mr hewin..he seems really lovely. Definately put my mind at ease about a few things so we are def going ahead with op. Hope fully on the 26th of november. Cannot Wait!!

So pleased for you, just before Christmas ( a lethal time for me) :) time will fly by and you'll soon be dropping the lbs :) x
 
Thank you. Hopefully it will come quick!! Would have had it sooner but moving house etc soon so have to wait..also having it dame day as my mum so had to wait until she could go aswell! I really can't wait! x
 
Great news for you both, Mr Hewin is great, Dolan Park great, I think you've made a good choice, and having it done with your mum is fab, you can help each other!!
