On the off chance that the weather reports are correct ... here's hoping that everyone north of me (Sheffield) is safe & not caught out by the high winds we have been experiencing. It is quite calm here now but know we have a lot of Sunderland'ish area, & Scots on here & they are the ones supposed to catch the worst of it. Keep safe everyone if you are having a bad time of it xxx :wave_cry:

agreed, keep safe everyone, look after you and yours xxx

durham been wild , seen on news factory roofs blown off, scary , calmer today thank god, put washing out at 7 been out 4 times to re peg lmao

still windy here but much better than yesterday, i thought i was going to blow away lol. As marie said a factory roof blew down. It fell onto 15 cars! funny thing the building was condemded as it would not withstand high winds..... was due to be blown up yesterday afternoon. lots of misc items flying around my estate lol. metro radio said someone found a pink padlding pool in their garden :)

Its windy on the South coast but we have had far worse.

Hasn't been too bad here in Brum
On a good note my washing blow dried in less than 3 hours yesterday and that included jeans  :D

Glad everyone is OK & (not counting buildings & random paddling pools) even benefiting from the winds, lol ... can't beat a good drying day :) We have had a few trees uprooted & a man was killed when a tree came down on his van :(:( but don't know where exactly, it was just on the local news ... so sad for his family  We are having some work done in the garden & the poor man is being blown about a bit :) xx

I'm in Stokesley, it's quite windy here still, got stuck in traffic yesterday on the way home from work because they closed the A19 flyover, the Newport bridge and the Transporter bridge so there was traffic backed up on all the roads surrounding Teesside, at least the A19 is open again today so hopefully I will be ok tonight, hope everyone else is ok, Karen x

The poor man was killed just up the road from me. He was a volunteer bus driver for a local hospice and the tree came down on his bus. Looking at the wreckage, he won't have suffered. R.I.P.

The wind blew my cast iron garden bench 3 foot down my drive yesterday and the binmen thought it was rubbish and took it away!
