Hot port site???

Hi I am new to this site, I was banded almost 2 weeks ago. Wanted to know if anyone experienced warmth around the port site. I am worried it could be infected underneath but it has been like that since day 1. The skin in top looks fine though. Apart from that I am doing well and have lost 16lb' already.

Hi - I was banded on 3 August. My port site like yours looks healthy but I do have a "warm spot" on my tummy where it is sited. Feels fine though and Im not concerned about it, like Snack said it is part of the healing process. If you are unduly concerned get your GP or provider to take a quick look to reassure you. Hi I'm 1 week post op so have still got my dressing on, I had a check yesterday as they were itching like mad but all looks good, not had a 'hot spot' yet but will keep my eye out for it now! Wendy x
