hi guys guess this is a good a place as any to ask can anyone suggest any hotels/b&b's in the solihull/birmingham area please as i prefer to stay in places that people have stayed in and can vouch for i really dont want to book somewhere random to find out its the pits any help appreciated many thanks

Are you being banded/sleeved at Dolan Park Princess4d4? Cos my mum has just booked herself in at the Hilton (about 15 mins or less from the hospital).
She's stayed there before and says it's lush. Queen Room is a mere £55.

im going to spire no clue where dolan park is clare we checked there prices sadly way out my range no offers on either right now for them thanks for the suggestion though

I was banded in dolan park I stayed in the premier inn it's about 10mins from hospital if you ask at the hospital they will give you a number for a taxi firm they use can't remember the name off the hotel but if you search for hotels near dolan park you should find it

im not going dolan park im going spire so want close to there and checked premier inn £79 a night was cheapest thats way out of my range need 3 nights thats more than our pay sadly thanks though for the suggestion

ive stayed at both holiday inn and travel lodge SRG the airport and also the Ibis when we have flown on early flights, all are ok and typical chain hotels and it's not too far from spire (had my surgery there) someone who had surgery recently stayed done where, I shall find out where it was later and let you know

thanks all think we will be going with travelodge they doing £32 a night so not so bad and think gonna just be night before i go in then hubby will train home and just come back up when i get sent home to accompany me on the train home so its less expense damn well wish we had a car still oh well such is life we pick up and carry on thanks for all the input has been a great help
