How long before you can sleep on your side

If you mean the side with the major work incision, I had an hematoma under mine so it was a couple of months before I could sleep confortably on that side.

But I had no issues on the other side from day one of being home.

I'd say to go how you feel. I slept on the other side to incisions straight away, but on left side about a week or so after. Don't rush anything though as you may find it harder getting up rather than getting down, if you know what I mean...
Good luck!

Although 4 weeks post op, still having considerable pain when trying to sleep on either sides. I suppose my body is still healing within but really missing my sleep as I am not used to sleeping on my back. Even sudden jerks, sneezing or coughing brings on the pain :(

It will get better. I am now 100% pain free.

Thanks Wonderlust:)
I can see that we both are under the same consultant, Ameet Patel. Isn't he just amazing?

Thank you, I've still got a very long way to go though :)

Yes Mr Patel, Beth and his team were very good.

I count myself lucky that under his care everything went well.
