How long off work?

Hi all. I'm props ably having a bypass. How long we're you off work post surgery? I was told by surgeon about two weeks and drive when a can emergency stop with no pain. I am lucky and can work from home but work will only let me do that for a few weeks.

I had 3 weeks because my employers are very bad about time off sick but I know some have around 6 weeks off. Mind you, I was fine and off shopping after a couple of weeks though I didn't push a shopping trolley or carry anything heavy. I think you have to see how you feel and it depends on the individual and your Dr's opinion. Mine was happy for me to return as I was doing so well.

Hey Caroline, it really depends on what you do, if you can do yours at home, then you probably dont have a very heavy duty job, then you should be able to go back quite soon, good luck xxx

Hi Caroline, i got sick note from hospital for 2 weeks but then got another off gp for 4 weeks. if i feel well enough before that ill just get a fit for work note.Again it depends on what you do x
