HOW LONG?

Hi folks, can anyone help me? My funding was approved on Friday for gastric band, and don't know the next steps.......anyone??? How long usually does it take to see surgeon, and then from surgeon to op?

It all depends on where your having your op and the amount of people who are already on the list chucks. The next you hear should be to tell you your on the list, then you have to wait for your pre op appointments. Good luck and I hope its soon for you.

hi djbp, I don't know for your area but for me its taken all in all from seeing my gp in july when applied for funding to me having my op in 4 weeks time around 9 months. It may be different for your area but I'm sure someone who knows that area will be on soon to advise you. Congrats on the funding, its the first step so at least you know you are on your way. every area is different, depends where u live and how many ppl is on the waiting list thats been approved b4 u.
