How to deal with a very saggy tummy

purplepansyem

Crazy Cat Lady ;)
I'm due to have my sleeve at the end of August and I'm hoping to lose around half my body weight.

I'm concerned about my stomach as it's very large at the moment and hangs down and I have an Ileostomy as well.

As I lose the weight, my stomach will get baggier and I'm wondering what underwear etc to wear to help support it and stop the wobble.

I currently wear prescription knickers (don't laugh) that reach over my belly button to hold and cover my stoma pouch so I will be looking to continue wearing large knickers, I'm just worried I won't be able to stuff all the flesh in when it gets really baggy!

I'm sure as you shrink down you will be able to find something suitable, as no one knows where they will be once the weight has gone, I've lost over 8st and my belly is nowhere as near as bad as I thought it'd be :)

I agree with Butterfly as I was over 30 stone at the start and should have had a massive apron. I ended up with comparatively little loose skin, despite losing 15 stone so far. So wait and see really. Support knickers make me uncomfortable as they cut in in the wrong places, and I wear a swimsuit when exercising as otherwise I'm dodging my own stomach when doing jumping jacks.

Yve & butterfly Ldy,

I have about 9-10st to loose due to have my WLS on 7/11 and start my LSD today! Am trying to give myself the best chance of not needing skin removal but because of extreme yoyo dieting in the past I'm not sure how realistic this will be simply because my skin is baggy now when it's full so god knows how it will look when it's a bit emptier!! Anyhoo my question is have u got any product tips at all that have helped you or you know that have helped others? Staying active and hydrated seems to be key from what I've read. Any tips appreciated!

Unfortunately, with my current weight loss, I now need plastics, so no I have no ideas.

I really believe that there is no magic lotion or potion that will help with excess skin after weight loss, some folks get it really badly others hardly at all, I've lost over 10st and the only place that concerns me is the inner thighs they are pretty crepey, but I know for sure I'd rather be a size 12 with baggy skin than a size 26 anyday, if things get too bad I will have surgery :)

Thank you ladies! Crepey is a good description of my inner thighs also! When I've extreme dieted before my hair has really thinned out but boy is rather be thin and bald any day! I'm just starting out so will see how bad it is when I can see light at the end of the tunnel and that seems a long way off at the mo.
