How to make photo smaller???

I want to change my photo to one attached here (me a sPink and Phil as Alice Cooper at a party we went to!) - but I think it's too big! I've tried cropping it - but to no avail .... how do you make photos smaller in size megabyte wise or pixel wise???

now there is nothing wrong with the arcade, it stops me rooting round the kitchen as when I get bored I come on here, reply to some threads or go play in the arcade
