Hi all.


I was just curious if anyone on this forum has got a one size gastric band , as when I went for my last appointment I was told my band was going to be one size, and I just wondered if anyone knows that if the band is going to be one size how much max fill capacity a one sized band would hold. Because I know quite a few people on her have different sized bands etc and not heard anyone mention a one size band before.

usually when a hospital says a 1 size band they usually mean they just buy in the 1 size & type of band, mine now uses a 14m band and everybody gets the same size regardless.

I think the same as Liz. It will be the "one size" that your hospital use's. My hospital use a 9ml band.

14m is usually standard now, the down side is it takes a little longer to get good restriction as more fills are usually needed, mine is a 9m band.
