i got burgled :(

last night

went to bed at 12:40 & my cousin woke me at 2:45 to ask where id put the telly (he was drunk).
when i went down they'd wiped out all of my front room, telly, ps3, laptop x 2, my i pod & earphones, my nephews birthday present off my brother (x box & kinect) & a few other bits.

i hate the fact someone was in my house when me & alex were in bed.

the police think they got in by attaching a magnet to a pole & going through the letter box to get keys.

That happened to me a couple of years ago whilst me and my son slept upstairs, its the worse feeling in the world and i didnt have any insurance so it was a double blow, took me over a year to feel comfortable in my own home. Keep ur chin up hun, it does get better.
Lazy sods need to go out and get a job rather than taking stuff that dont belong to them.
Cut there b****y hands off i say.

There are more and more reports of people 'fishing' through letterboxes. Keys to cars and homes have even been taken from jackets hanging up in halls.

Bandy Emm was robbed too, they ransacked the whole house and left it in a right mess by all accounts! Im so sorry you and Alex have had to go through this too Emma, its horrible especially at this time of year. I am so sorry to hear that you have been robbed. That's two of you in as many days. I dread being robbed whilst we're all home and in bed. It was bad enough when we were out and returned to a ransacked home. I hope you were insured and are able to get some of the things back. I know this won't help the feeling of violation that you must have at present. It might be worth you contacting victim support, as they can help you make your home more secure, as well as lend a listening ear.

i luckily do have insurance yeah.
its a job in itself trying to find all the proof of ownership needed to claim though.
its hit home a bit more today, i've been biting peoples heads off left right & centre & had a mini cry before. i just don't feel comfortable in the house at the moment.
having all the locks changed at the moment, but my brother is dealing with that for me, as i'm at my parents.
i have no laptops or anything though, so i've just jumped on at my mums while i had chance.

i just really hope the insurance pay out, my parents seem to think theyll try & get out of it as there was no signs of forced entry. it was 100% locked though, it was checked twice.
ive totalled up the cost of everything ive noticed that gone missing, i keep finding more bits too, but its seriously almost 3ks worth of things already...thats without the christmas things they took. i still need to open them & check what ive been left with.

im so angry with people at the moment, i know everyone isnt a big robbing *swear word*, but im finding it really difficult not to look at everyone like theyre about to attack me & steal my things!

had victim support on the phone tonight, i told them im totally fine. i dunno why i said that, cos im not really... but it just kinda fell out & i felt a bit silly complaining about it. (even though i came here and did it instead)

ive seriously been sat going over and over again in my head, about other out comes...and i keep thinking what would have happened if id have caught them & they had a gun or soemthing
