I Have My First Appointment

OMG, I received a letter from the hospital today with my first appointment inviting me to attend a seminar on 13th January.

The hospital I'll be going to, Sunderland, has a group seminar as the first appointment as seemingly a lot of people drop out after that appointment. It is essential to attend otherwise your name is removed from the list. As if I'd ever contemplate not going!!!

I get the impression that it will take a year from this appointment until surgery but I'm sure I can manage that for the prospect of a new life.

I'm so happy, yet know this is only the very first step of a long journey and I still have the consultant to win over!!

Congratulations on getting your first appointment. A year does go by so quickly. I saw the consultant this January and I am hoping to have my surgery by the end of March 2010.
