Dear Mr Harris

Further to our telephone conversation this afternoon I am writing to confirm that
your recent sleep study shows that you do have a degree of sleep apnoea, a condition where your breathing pattern is disturbed when you are asleep. This is no cause for alarm and Dr Lock has asked me to arrange a trial of treatment for you.

I have made you an appointment for this on Friday 3rd April 2009 at 11.00 a.m

they also found the same thing with my heart where it was beating strange and she requested more tests !!!

so will have to see what surgeon says on monday ..

have u had sleep apnea ? how did u manage with the cpap ? and was it and issue with surgery ??

i have sleep apnia the cpak is fine i find i luls you to sleep been told as long as im used to it it eont have any efect on surgery exept i may have to stay in a extra night . best of luck im sure youll be fine and no problems

Hi Brett, sorry to hear this. I'm sure I read somewhere that having sleep apnea helps with you getting the op.I would'nt think it would change anything but you may just be under extra precaution and have more specialists there at the time of your op because of this and the heart. Good luck on friday , I'm sure you'll be fine.

Hi Brett sleep apnea swung it for me to get funding, it was granted on the tuesday and I had my op on the saturday...mine was only mild which is what yours sounds like....I have totally recovered from it and the difference within a few weeks was amazing...I was actually praying I had it lol..dont worry I think it will turn out in your favour..xx

yea spoke to hospital today and they said not to worry at all about it cause I'm still getting my date on Monday ... and it wont effect the op its just as long as they know about it thats all that matters and now they can treat it and fix it so i will sleep better in the future ...

thankfully i have my funding already ...

I'm currently having trouble finding the right setting as the weight comes off you need less and less pressure. I've gone from 12 down to 7 so far, and still haven't got it right :/
