I was told they dont sit well with the stomach after a bypass and to avoid them at any cost but like Paula said, this advice is given to gastric bypass patients

Its just ive got a baad chest infection so havin paracetamol every 4 hours and anti biotics and its making my stomach do summersults. And that sickie kind og burp so getting a bit worried now x
Ibuprofen, aspirin and voltarol are amongst the pain killers that act on your stomach lining, hence if you have had bariatric surgery they are generally best avoided. Paracetamol are kinder to your stomach and don't have the same action. If you are feeling discomfort it could be the antibiotics Farquar rather than the paracetamol that you are taking (sorry to the OP for the hijack!) as antibiotics can destroy the 'good' bacteria that are in your gut as well as the 'bad' bacteria they are supposed to destroy. You could try taking them along with one of those yoghurt drinks like live actimel or similar to see if that helps?
