is there a time limit so to speak of a pregnancy after bypass?... as its only 13 weeks?... just wondered xx

sorry re read thread about doc!!! you havent been yet... hmmm maybe ring your team? xxx

lol will long story short i had my implant out as i was bleeding all the time i had it in for a 1 and a half i had enought any were didnt think i would get prego so quick lol will i did x

Kelly i think 12 months is a figure i'd heard about when to consider having a baby post bypass...

However, Lianne i'm sure everything will be fine! Be sure to ring your team a.s.a.p and ask advice sooner rather than later xx

ps, and get your hubby down the chop shop, you got your hands full enough now :) xx

I was told one to two years, I was actually asked to promise that I would actively prevent it for at least the first year, which I said I would do.
I would definately call your bariatric team and tell them about the pregnancy, I know that the baby will take all of its nourishment from you but that will be at your own expense, you will more than likely need lots of extra vitamins etc to make sure that you dont become ill due to the now even smaller amount of nourishment that you will be getting, so I would definately let them know about it so that you can get all of the goodness you are going to be needing, but I wouldnt wait until 30th September to let them know and get their advice about this, we dont want you poorly.
Congratulations on your new baby and here is hoping for as healthy a pregnancy as possible.
Steph xx

first of all, congrats and have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
second - i agree with eveyone else, ring ur team they will have more knowledge of what vits etc.. u need then ur doctor, in ur case. xx

Congrats hun! :)
Cant offer any advice but just wanted to say congrats :D xxxxx

You need to see you bariatric team asap, in all honesty pregnancy at your stage is seriously unadvisable. The baby will generally be fine, but you are at big risk of deficiency and malnourishment.

best of luck xxx

i know they reccomend at least 1 year post op before getting pregnant, and they also warn that post op when the weight is dropping off you get uber fertile cos of all the hormones released from the fat cells that are disappearing

i know all that i had a implant in for 1 year and a half i was bleeding all the time so made my mind up to have it out 5 weeks ago i was using condoms will just one night had to much to drink and didnt use any thing now im 4 weeks 3 days prego im happy about it now and cant wait untill may xx

Hiya, my team like you to wait two years, but hey, these things happen!! I have to say, that looking at your beautiful brood you are one fertile woman lol !
I'm sure your team will have advice to offer about how to make sure you and bubba stay healthy over the coming months. Hope the worries aren't taking the shine off the experience. Best wishes x x

Whoa Lianne, don't you have a TV, lol?!!! Congratulations though girl! Can't offer any further advise to what you've already been told; ring your team, this won't be the first or last time it happens & they will look after you no matter what xxx

wow you lasted longer than i did with the implant...think i had it in for about 3 1/2 months before i'd had enough of the b leeding side effect...now been on cerrazette for the past 2 months but no change stupid stuff...think i may just give up on all of it lol
