i'm a bit poorly and need some advice.

for the last 5 days i'v had the trots. as soon as i eat or drink anything it go's straight though me. i phoned the hospital last friday and they told me to let it run it's course.
i was wondering if anyone knows if can take something for it, if so what!

Aw sorry you are not well Sue it is rife up here in Glasgow too. Only advice people have been given is to keep up the fluids and let it run its course hope you feel better soon xx

I had this last week. My doctor suggested not taking Immodium or anything else because the virus has to run through the system and the Immodium can actually delay that.

Imodium is good but if you are not working tomorrow and can stay near your own loo I would suggest let it run (pardon the pun) the course as Imodium, whilst they work, can go the opposite way and you can feel uncomfortable.

I've still got the trots and I'm feeling really poorly now.
i have to go for blood tests this morning at my gp's.
he gave me Dioralyte to rehydrate me.
