Hi,

I'm really missing aerobics now. I'm post op 4wks 2days.

Does anyone know if it would be ok for me to get a Rosemary Conley DVD out and do a light workout?? (I didn't have stomach muscles stitched so not been in any pain for 4 weeks).

What do you think?

Sorry hun, not able to help you. You will find that there aren't many people here who have actually had a tummy tuck except for 2Bands Liz!

Wishing you the best of luck,
Nic:D

In short - no. 4 weeks is not enough time for all your tissue etc to knit back together strongly enough. Brisk walking and a bit of gentle cardio vascular is fine, no bending, stretching, lifting, sit-ups tho'. Not a step machine either. Have a go on a cycle or basic aerobic steps like grapevine but not with the circular arm movements or any reaching.

So - gentle movements which increase the heart rate ar ok - upper body which involve stretching the area are not.

That help?

i still wasnt healed by week 6 but my tuck was a complicated one, i would make an appoointment with your gp and get them to ok exercise xxx

Thanks all

I was only going to do the basic steps and no arms and definitely no toning, but as much as I long to do it I've decided it's probably for the best that i don't :sigh:

Afterall I don't want an ugly bulging scar ... or worse

Just got to keep myself occupied somehow for just under 2 weeks!
