is it ok to use Dulcoease 2 weeks after post op for my constipation?

That might be a question for your team. I was told lactulose and movicol are safe but to steer clear of Fybogel. I wouldn't risk taking anything that hasn't been approved by my team first.

I prefer to use natural remedies such as prune juice or aloe vera. As with any laxative make sure you have plenty of fluids as they can dehydrate you. Drinking lots will help constipation anyway. Hope you manage to resolve it soon :)

I'm surprised you need them so soon after your op. I had no problem with bowel movement up to a couple of months post surgery, problems with constipation started at around 4 months post op.

i was prescribed them from my gp and was fine!! try increasing yr fluids though as once you start on yr iron suppliments it gets worse!! benifiber is a great natural suppliment but the ducoease will get things moving again!!

steer clear of lactulose its loaded with sugar!!!

I've had severe constipation all week and I'm only 6wks post-op.

I think that this just reiterates the fact that people have very different experiences after WL Surgery.
