Is it normal to have to log in each time you jump threads?

If I am in surgical weight loss for example, I can read and reply to threads there when I am logged in, but if I then go to general chit chat say i get asked to log in again when I was happily posting a minute before...

I don't know anything technical but I go from thread to thread without having to log on again. So no, I don't think it is normal but you should get a more helpful answer later from someone who knows what they are talking about!

Did you click the rember me box when you were logging in?

yep - that seems to have cracked it - thanks Mini - feel a bit stupid now
