Is this normal

Hi all

13 days post band op. A question for you wise people, my port is situated between the breast bone, after having clips removed I tried last night to sleep on my side but was really uncomfortable and could feel what I think is the port digging in me. Is this normal, and will it settle down given time. Was really looking forward to being able to lie on my side rather than the past 13 days sleeping propped up.

Yeah that's totally normal. I sleep on my front but it took ages to get there. I think I slept on my side about 2 weeks after but it was really uncomfortable. I probably started sleeping on my front about 2 months afterwards. I still feel it now and I had my surgery in November. It's just something you get used to.

It does feel a bit strange at first but u do adapt to it after a while xx
