Itching

61/2 months post bypass and for the last month I have had constant itching it is getting worse and worse every day haven't been able to sleep due to severe itching mainly torso, no rash or lumps or bumps just itching itching itching driving me mad, has anyone else had this? If so anything helps?

Hi ya hun, I've not yet had my surgery but I'd advise you not to just leave it, defiantly go and see your GP, It could be something as simple as an allergic reaction to something but in some cases, itching all over can be due to a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction that includes hives (raised welts) and anaphylaxis (tightening and closing of the airways). Itching all over can also result from infection, inflammation, insect bites, and diseases, such as celiac disease, liver disease, and some cancers.

You might be a bit low in iron or b12

Try antihistimine that does the trick for me, I suffer with terribly itchy hands
