Ive got PCT approval, what now?

I'm new to this site and hope I can find some help on here.
I have today been approved for weight loss surgery by my local PCT. I'm really happy about this but very nervous. I had originally asked for a gastric band but I see a lot of people on here say bypass is better. I'm sure my surgeon will go through this with me but what do you think? Is the recovery period much longer for a bypass? Now I have approval how long will I wait for the operation? What is the next step?
Lots of questions sorry, very anxious!

And welcome to the site . Its a great site and the people are very nice and you will get all the information you need . Its great you`v got your funding . I hope to get the bypass but I might have to get a sleeve its down to my dye test that I have to get . Good luck and take care .
