Congratulations craig!! So glad your surgery went well!! You are on your way to a new you now xx

Congratulations Craig - I had my op this morning, and I'm surprised at how well I feel. Tired is about my only complaint lol

Congratulations Tracey, glad that you're feeling well after your op. I have to say that as the day has gone on I feel much better. Loving the liquid diet, but I've always loved milk lol!

Well I'm 4 days post op & I think I've been really lucky. I've had no wind pain and have managed without painkillers. Some fabulous bruises have appeared on my hands where drips & blood tests have been placed/taken, and around my "war" wounds.

Not sure what size band I have but it is empty, apparently St Marys don't fill until 6 wks post op, so I'm going to have to be really, really good for those 6 weeks :)

Glad your feeling ok - I'm feeling bloated all the time - been sucking on chewable windeze but not sure if there doing any good. I haven't got any energy at all, I'll have to try and get a chewable or liquid vitamin. They used a 10ml band for me and put 3ml in.

Tracy, I slept on and off all last weekend after being banded on the friday, just try and go with the flow and rest as much as possible. Having a general anaesthetic can really knock you about, I'd say it's taken me a week to feel back to normal xxx

Hi girls. I think I agree with Caroline now!! Felt good at discharge but sore now and my tummy seems to be a little swollen and firmer than yesterday. All usual I suppose. I went shopping yesterday pm for 1 hour, I needed some air, but to be honest just goingbtonrest today. Managing liquid okay but little appetite - did you / do you feel like this? Tracey xxx

Sounds about the same as me Tracey, I'm managing water and thin liquids ok but Im struggling even with my herbalife shake drink. I'm going to venture out to Holland and Barrett today to try and get some multivitamins.

I'm following the hospital's liquid diet as much as I can but have to agree that I've got no appetite really though. Didn't your hospital send you home with any multivitamins or infacol for the wind? I came home with a huge bag of medicines that I've only used the multivits & metoclopramide (anti-sickness tabs) so far. Hoping I won't need the lactulose :)

Loving the high protein milk that I turn into a milky coffee which I could drink all day long lol! The soups are great now I've got the blender to make themy "creamy" rather than bitty.

Hope you all feel less bloated soon & don't do too much, rest & take it easy, our bodies need time to recover!

I didn't get any sent home with me :( just a bottle of liquid paracetamol. I got some chewable ones from superdrug.

Sorry to hear that Tracey :(

Wish I had been given liquid paracetamol as I hallucinate on codeine which is what i was given. The hospital gave me forceval, they look huge but are gel capsules so really easy to take. I'm hoping that I can buy them from the pharmacy, if not I'm going to get centrium ones and crush them.
