elffie01

Im Meellttinngg!! :)
after reading for the umpteen time the booklet my surgeon gave me that there is no liquid only stage.
Dont ask me how I missed it before but Ive just read it again lol

Seems on day 3 you are tested with puree food (wonder if I get supplied with a bib too? :p) and then if I am ok with puree I might be let home lol

The booklet says nothing about drinking fluids only for a week or 2 just to stick to puree, applesauce consistency for 4 - 6 weeks. Strange.

I know every surgeon is different so I will go with what he has stated, Im just gobsmacked I hadnt noticed it before and that there is no liquid stage.... ahh well means I have to whizz my chicken soup instead of straining it , good less mess lol:D

hey that sounds good , its amazing what you miss iv read stuff over and over then seen somthing that was not there before lol

I didn't notice that either, still will be guided by him and his wife!!

My book too says the same as yours but when i met Mr Ammori and Kath ( bariatric nurse) post op i was told to stick to a liquid only diet for two weeks as it was important for internal healing but i'm sure they will advise you. Ps get one of those tray bibs you can't beat them ha ha xx
