i had gastric bypass 8weeks ago but the last 3 weeks no weightloss sfter a really good start, can anyone help or tell me whats happening:confused:

It could just be your body adjusting to the change in eating habits post surgery. What are you eating? Are you eating and drinking enough?

It really is very usual to stall margo at every stage after surgery.. Your body is still probably in starvation mode so will cling to it's stores of fat. I suggested in my thread that you posted in, that you maybe try writing down what you are eating to see if you are eating enough, especially the amount of protein, or try posting your food intake on the gastric bypass daily menu thread started by mayamoo, it may help you to adjust your intake to get out of your stall... It is only a blip though, we all have them so try not to worry.. I am sure that someone with more experience and knowledge than me will come along and reassure you better than I can.. xxx

have you mearsured yourself?? you can still be losing inches if not showing in lbs. xx

What Amanda said ... stalls are part & parcel of WLS ... just make sure your liquid & protein levels are OK & you are having at least 800cals a day then just wait  If you are not on My Fitness Pal, try it ... it takes the guessing out og your food intake. No one said it was easy, lol ... it certainly teaches us patience  good luck, sweetie xx

Yeah everyone giving you excellent advice, everyone is unique and we all stall along the way at different intervals your body is trying to readjust and won't understand why it is having to manage onso little food, so it is clinging on to everything, it will do this then suddenly it will start to go down again, also as was said above in these times measure yourself if its not weight you lose then its inches check it out xx Keep going it will set away again. xx

You could try and confuse your body by swapping your meal times around etc thats what i do and it seems to work for me xx

thanxs so much i must admit i need to get into a proper routine with meal i dont think i eat enough and i know i dont drink enough water i am making more effort now with both i am also going to exercise now xnas is over x

In that case maybe keeping a food diary for a while would help, so you can see exactly how much you are eating and the nutritional values. Good luck with the weight loss in 2013 xxx

Excellent advice from everyone. Water, protein and planned meals are key but even with that you will still get stalls. I've had 2 now. Both lasted about 3 weeks and drove me mad but they do end. Especially in the beginning. You will definitely start losing again :) x

stall is over
