why is it the minute you say on a forum everything is fine it goes tits up! im 4 ws post op and was due on the day after surgery i was 5 days late had a weird period and have been spotting ever since, can surgery do this?

Ohh yes! had weirdest periods in the world since op, I have implant in my arm which should stop my periods and it worked fine up until loosing the weight and now they are all over the place! from been a week apart to two months apart:cry:
They should settle down once your weight has started to slow down, but and its a big but you should always get spotting checked out by your doctor just to make sure its nothing else, more than likely it is down to the weight loss but always be on the safe side!

Yup, just what I was going to say. Any midcycle bleeding should always be checked out.

ty iv got dr ringing me on weds about it as i havnt lost much weight yet as i was banded not bypassed

im the same got the implant in my arm not had a period since dec 07 and 3 days post op got period ;-( not what i needed at all just hope it stops soon

my periods had been great and had one a week b4 op and then come out of theatre and was loosing..

Hi i bleed for about 10 tens post op for no reason at all!!! bit grim when you have the apin from surgery too! if you are worried though i would get it checked out xx
